OOB delivery of one time passcodes is one of the fastest and easiest ways to provision strong authentication to any user, anywhere. One-time passcodes (OTPs) are sent to users via email or SMS text message, providing a second authentication factor when logging in to any enterprise resource.

SMS gateways, SMTP email and content of outbound SMS text and email messages can all be fully configured and customized. Out-of-band (OOB) authentication via SMS text messages is offered in four different operating modes, providing you choice in how to handle SMS network coverage variation or delays, and letting you define your user’s authentication journey.
